MOJAVE, CA (October 12, 2022) — Two people died at the scene of a car crash on Phillips Road on Wednesday, September 21.

Police identified the victims as 49-year-old Yuhua Su of Redmond, Washington, and 54-year-old Dongmei Xu of Bellevue, Washington.

The fatal collision happened at around 11:20 p.m. in the 6000 block of Phillips Road, according to authorities.

Officials said the incident involved a vehicle’s torque tube. However, there is still a lack of details about the incident.

The California Highway Patrol continue their investigation. No other information is released.
