LAS VEGAS, NV (May 16, 2023) — A 40-year-old man identified as Yans Luis Zayas Serrano, 40 of Las Vegas, died in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, May 11.
 
The crash happened at Warm Springs Road near Rainbow Boulevard shortly before 9:00 p.m. Multiple people called 911 about a pedestrian lying on the ground.
 
Officials stated that the man died at the scene.
 
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, the pedestrian was outside a crosswalk on Warm Springs when a Ford F150 pickup truck hit him.
 
The driver of the truck stayed on the scene. Officers administered Field Sobriety Tests. However, the driver did not show signs of intoxication.
 
Officials said Serrano’s cause of death is still pending and under the investigation of Clark County coroner’s office. The incident is the 46th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
 
The crash is still under investigation.
