Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Accident on Aurora Avenue North in Seattle

 
SEATTLE, WA (October 12, 2022) – Police confirmed that a woman in a wheelchair died following a hit-and-run accident in the 9800 block of Aurora Avenue North on October 10.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near 98th Street around 4:32 AM.
 
Based on a report, a woman in a wheelchair was in the southbound side of the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle traveling southbound hit her and left the scene.
 
As a result, the 44-year-old died in Harborview Medical Center due to severe injuries. Seattle Fire Department medics responded to the scene but did not yet release her name pending kin notification.
 
As of now, Seattle police are searching for the driver of the vehicle. In addition, detectives are asking for anyone with information to call the SPD Tip Line at (206) 702-5035.
