BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 25, 2025) – A woman sustained injuries following a pedestrian crash on 19th Street and Chester Avenue on Wednesday morning, February 19.

The incident occurred at around 9:54 a.m., according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Officials stated that a female pedestrian had tried to travel across Chester Avenue at 19 Street within a crosswalk.

For reasons still undetermined, a vehicle being driven by a woman making a right turn onto Chester Avenue slammed into the pedestrian.

The force of impact inflicted moderate to major injuries to the stricken victim. Respondents transported her to a hospital.
