LAKE JACKSON, TX (August 12, 2024) – The Lake Jackson Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident in the 400 block of Highway 332 on July 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 4:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the main lanes of southbound Highway 332 when a red Pontiac car hit her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release her name, pending kin notification.
 
The 56-year-old male driver of the Pontiac stopped immediately and cooperated with investigators.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
