Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Dayton Street at East 10th Avenue in Aurora

 
AURORA, CO (August 4, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on Dayton Street on July 29.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at East 10th Avenue around 8:53 PM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing the 10th Avenue at the time of the crash.
 
She was mid-block of the road when a Mazda traveling northbound on Dayton Street struck her.
 
As a result, the woman sustained grave injuries in the incident. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the Mazda remained on scene and APD said impairment was not a factor in the accident.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
