Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle on C-470 in Jefferson County

 
JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO (November 13, 2024) – Police confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on C-470 on October 19.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 6:30 AM. Based on a report, the woman was trying to walk across C-470 at the time of the crash.
 
She was in the westbound lanes when an oncoming Chevy Suburban hit her.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only identified her as a 52-year-old woman from Arizona. It’s unclear why she was trying to cross such a busy roadway.
 
Officers ask anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information that can help investigators to call Colorado State Patrol at 303-239-4501.
