Woman Fatally Injured in Las Vegas Hit-and-Run on Boulder Highway

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 8, 2024) — A woman suffered fatal injuries in a hit-and-run on Boulder Highway on Thursday, June 20.
 
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan police, the crash happened shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Boulder Highway near Mayorga Street, south of Desert Inn Road.
 
LVMPD said the woman tried to cross from the west side of the highway to the east near Mayorga Street.  Then a vehicle moving north on Boulder Highway struck her.
 
Responding officers pronounced the woman dead at the scene
 
Authorities said the woman was not in a marked crosswalk when the crash happened.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident. They urge anyone with information to call the Metro’s Collision Investigation Section at (702) 828-3595.
 
The fatal incident is the 78th traffic-related death in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2024.
