Woman Dies After Crash on Long Beach Boulevard and Willow Street

 
LONG BEACH, CA (March 4, 2025) – A woman died following a crash on Long Beach Boulevard and Willow Street on Monday morning, February 24.

The fatal incident occurred at around 6:45 a.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Officials stated that a 2005 GMC being driven by a 61-year-old Long Beach man had been traveling westbound on Willow Street.

The GMC driver then turned right onto northbound Long Beach Boulevard, slamming into a woman walking in a marked crosswalk.

The accident left the stricken female pedestrian dead at a hospital.

Meanwhile, the motorist behind the wheels of the GMC did not leave the scene, deciding to cooperate with respondents.

Authorities are still working on determining the cause and circumstances behind the collision.
