PHOENIX, AZ (August 20, 2024) — A woman died in a hit-and-run on 10 Freeway on Saturday, July 27.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety officials, officers responded to the area near 10 Freeway and 59th Avenue at about 11:00 p.m.
 
When troopers arrived, they discovered a woman had sustained fatal injuries after a vehicle struck her. They pronounced her dead at the scene. Her identity is not immediately available.
 
The car that struck the woman reportedly fled the scene. As of writing, there is no available description of the suspect vehicle.
