Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 132nd Avenue in Kent

 
KENT, WA (January 12, 2023) – The Kent Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on 132nd Avenue on January 8.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 234th Street around 5:45 AM. Based on a report, the woman was possibly attempting to cross the street prior to the accident.
 
Subsequently, a vehicle going southbound struck her, causing her to go into the northbound lane. At that point, a second vehicle hit her.
 
As a result, officers found the woman unresponsive in the roadway. Medics attempted lifesaving measures, but she died at the scene.
 
Both drivers stopped immediately and cooperated with the police.
 
At this point, WSP does not believe drugs or alcohol were involved. In addition, the cause of the collision remained under investigation.
