HENDERSON, NV (January 4, 2024) — An elderly woman died after a pedestrian accident on North Green Valley Parkway on Friday, December 1.
 
The accident happened at around 10:20 p.m. on North Green Valley Parkway and Wigwam Parkway.
 
According to the Henderson Police Department, a brown Toyota sedan moved north on Green Valley Parkway. Then an elderly woman stepped outside a marked crosswalk.
 
The sedan struck the woman. Paramedics transported her to a local hospital where she later died of sustained injuries. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release her identity after they notify her next of kin.
 
According to the police, the driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. They do not believe impairment and speed are factors in the incident.
 
The fatal incident is under investigation.
