Victoria Salinas Killed in Snyder Car Accident on Highway 84

 
SNYDER, TX (April 2, 2024) — A 22-year-old from Snyder identified as Victoria Salinas died in a crash on Thursday, March 21.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 35-year-old Colton Guynes traveled on Ennis Creek Road, approaching Highway 84 with Salinas as a passenger.
 
At the same time, a truck carrying 31-year-old Eric Morin and a 13-year-old boy moved south on the highway. After that, Guynes’ vehicle went into its path resulting in the collision.
 
Salinas suffered serious injuries. Paramedics then transported her to University Medical Center in Lubbock, where she died on Saturday.
 
Guynes and Morin sustained incapacitating injuries. Medics also rushed them both to UMC.
 
They also rushed a 13-year-old boy to Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, where he received treatment and was later released.
 
Reports said road conditions were dry when the incident.
 
DPS said all involved individuals wore seatbelts except Guynes.
