Vences Baldinucci Fatally Injured in Food Truck Accident on 215 Freeway and Durango Drive

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 5, 2024) — 51-year-old Vences Baldinucci died in a food truck accident on Saturday, October 12.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 10:00 a.m. at the eastbound off-ramp of 215 Freeway and Durango Drive.
 
NSP said the collision involved a Hyundai Sonata and a commercial food truck driven by Baldinucci. The initial investigation determined the food truck traveled east on the 215 North Durango Drive off-ramp. Then the driver failed to yield the right of way at a red light.
 
The food truck then entered the path of the Sonata and caused the Sonata to crash into the food truck. Then the food truck rotated before it struck a raised concrete median. After that, it overturned onto a traffic sign and ejected Baldinucci, who did not wear a seat belt.
 
Medical personnel arrived and then pronounced Baldinucci dead at the scene.
 
Officers closed the eastbound off-ramp at Durango Drive for several hours during the investigation. In addition, they also closed both northbound and southbound travel lanes over the 215 Freeway.
 
Nevada State Police Highway Patrol continues to investigate the driver’s death as the 56th fatal crash in their jurisdiction.
