DENVER, CO (April 23, 2024) — Two teenagers sustained injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Andrews Drive on Tuesday, April 9.
 
According to the Denver Police Department, the crash took place on Andrews Drive and Crown Boulevard on the west side of Montbello Central Park just after 5:00 p.m.
 
Montbello High School Principal Neisa Lynch said two students who attend the school were walking home. When they crossed the street on a crosswalk, a vehicle struck them. After that, the driver fled the scene.
 
Paramedics rushed the teenagers to the hospital with serious injuries. As of Tuesday morning, police said their injuries were not life-threatening.
 
On Wednesday afternoon, officers said that the driver turned himself in and cooperated with the investigation.
