Suspected DUI Driver Causes Accident on 5 Freeway in Seattle

 
SEATTLE, WA (November 14, 2022) – Two drivers suffered serious injuries in a suspected DUI accident on 5 Freeway on November 3.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at 130th Street at approximately 1:00 AM. Based on a report, a car was traveling on the freeway prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, it came off the overpass and struck two other vehicles on the northbound freeway. Subsequently, the Seattle Fire Department said the vehicles overturned in the collision.
 
Medics with Seattle Fire were able to extricate the drivers of the overturned vehicles. As a result, the victims were in serious condition.
 
The driver that caused the collision had non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers suspected the person of impairment.
 
As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
