Injuries Reported After DUI Crash on Lincoln Avenue and Third Street
SAN RAFAEL, CA (March 3, 2025) – At least two people were injured following a DUI crash on Lincoln Avenue and Third Street on Saturday, February 22.
According to the San Rafael Police Department, the incident happened after two vehicles collided and struck a fire hydrant. The busted fire hydrant caused water to shoot up into power lines, police added.
One of the vehicles was also on its side up against a building, causing damage to the structure.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 39-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries.
The suspect, a 27-year-old man, had minor injuries and was suspected of driving under the influence.
Authorities later on found that the driver was already prohibited from driving because of a previous DUI conviction. He was then arrested based on accusations of felony driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in an injury and other, related charges.
