LAS VEGAS, NV (July 26, 2024) — Two people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle accident on Pavilion Center Drive on Friday, July 5.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at about 7:09 a.m. at Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston Boulevard.

Investigators believe a 2012 Ford Escape moved south on Pavilion Center approaching Charleston. Then the vehicle ran through a red light.

LVMPD said the Ford collided with a 2016 Audi A3 heading east on a green light. The impact of the crash caused the Audi to spin out. At the same time, the Ford slammed into a 2015 BMW 325i that was stopped at the red light and it eventually overturned onto its side.

Emergency responders arrived and then transported the driver of the Ford to UMC with life-threatening injuries. They only identified him as an 80-year-old Las Vegas man.

Paramedics transported the driver of the Audi, a 32-year-old man from Texas, to UMC for claimed injuries. The driver of the BMW who is a 29-year-old from Las Vegas resident was not hurt.

Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the accident.
