Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 287 in Larimer County
LARIMER COUNTY, CO (June 19, 2023) – Officials confirmed that a 57-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman died in a head-on crash on Highway 287 on June 7.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened near between Cherokee Park Road and Red Mountain Road around 6:45 AM. Based on a report, the woman was driving a Dodge Rambler with a 14-year-old male passenger at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, their vehicle collided head-on with the man’s Subaru Outback.
As a result, both victims suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
The teen in the Dodge suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to a hospital.
Officers did not yet release the cause of the crash. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
