Two Dead in Fiery Tacoma Car Crash on Pacific Avenue

 
TACOMA, WA (January 23, 2023) – The Tacoma Police Department confirmed that two people died in a fiery car crash on Pacific Avenue South on January 18.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at South 38th Street just before 4:30 AM. Based on a report, a male driver was traveling northbound on Pacific Avenue prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a second car traveling on 38th Street hit his vehicle and careened into a pole before it caught fire.
 
As a result, two people in the second car died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victims’ names, pending kin notification.
 
Emergency crews transported another occupant of the second car, a 15-year-old male, to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The driver of the first car had minor injuries in the collision.
 
Police said the fatality victims’ vehicle was reported as stolen. As of now, the investigation into the case remains ongoing.
