Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 260 in Camp Verde
CAMP VERDE, AZ (December 12, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that two people died in a head-on crash on Highway 260 on December 6.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at milepost 230 around 2:30 PM. Based on a report, a semi-truck pulling a trailer and a sedan collided head-on.
Subsequently, the sedan caught fire in the incident, blocking the highway.
As a result, at least two people suffered grave injuries in the crash. The DPS did not release the identity of the victims, pending notification of next of kind.
The crash closed the highway in both directions but reopened about six hours after the crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
