Two Dead and Another Hospitalized after Rollover Crash on Rowlett Road

 
GARLAND, TX (June 25, 2024) — Two people died, and another sustained injuries in a rollover accident on Rowlett Road on Sunday, June 9.
 
According to the Garland Police Department, the accident took place on Rowlett Road, just east of Roan Road, at around 6:00 a.m.
 
Officers determined that a red pickup truck moved eastbound. Then it lost control and hit a guardrail. The impact of the collision ejected two passengers from the vehicle, and they died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported a third passenger in critical condition.
 
The identities of those involved are not available pending notification of their loved ones.
 
There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
 
Garland Police shut down both eastbound and westbound lanes on Rowlett Road between Roan Road and Thornhill Way. They also advised motorists to avoid the area and look for alternate routes.
 
The Garland Police Department Traffic Unit handles the ongoing investigation of the events that led to the accident.
