Two Vehicles, Pedestrian Involved in Fatal Accident on Auburn Boulevard at Cobalt Way in Citrus Heights

 
WILLOWS, CA (January 25, 2023) – The Citrus Heights Police Department confirmed that two people died in an accident on Auburn Boulevard on January 22.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Cobalt Way around 7:45 PM. Based on a report, a Mercedes Benz was traveling on Auburn at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, it hit a pedestrian. Subsequently, the Mercedes struck a Toyota car.
 
As a result, the pedestrian and the driver of the Toyota died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victims’ identities, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the Mercedes suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
 
The police said speed is believed to be a factor. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
