Injuries Sustained in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 Road in Shelton

 
SHELTON, WA (October 17, 2022) – At least two people suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 on October 11.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at West Shelton Matlock Road at about 5:04 PM.
 
Based on a report, a first vehicle was traveling south on the highway prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it hit two other vehicles. Subsequently, the collision caused one of the vehicles to hit a fourth vehicle. Two came to a rest in the first lane while the other two came to rest on the right shoulder.
 
The 65-year-old Shelton man driving the first vehicle suffered injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Responders also transported a 42-year-old Shelton man to Mason General Hospital with injuries. Two other Shelton men who drove separate vehicles, were not hurt in the collision.
 
At this point, WSP does not believe drugs or alcohol were involved. In addition, the cause of the collision remained under investigation.
