COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 20, 2024) — Two minors sustained injuries in a car accident on North Nevada Avenue on Tuesday, June 4.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the crash occurred on North Nevada Avenue near East Cache La Poudre Street at around 2:00 a.m.
 
CSPD said Tuesday, an officer drove south in the 900 block of North Nevada Avenue. Then he discovered two injured minors in the roadway.
 
Police investigation determined the two minors rode on the outside of a vehicle being driven by another minor. When the vehicle was in motion, the two minors fell off and suffered injuries.
 
CSPD said one had a minor injury, and the other sustained serious injury.
 
Officers took the driver of the vehicle into custody because of the incident.
 
Authorities closed the southbound lanes of North Nevada Avenue during the investigation. They later reopened the closed lanes.
