PHOENIX, AZ (November 20, 2024) — Eight people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident on 39th Avenue on Saturday, November 2.
 
According to the Phoenix Police, the accident occurred near 39th Avenue and Thunderbird Road just before 8:00 p.m.
 
Phoenix Police later confirmed that eight people sustained injuries in the collision. Six of them were children between 7 and 15 years old. The remaining two people were adults.
 
Paramedics transported all injured to the hospital.
 
According to Phoenix Fire, two of the children were initially in critical condition. Then Phoenix police later confirmed they are expected to be okay.
 
The other six people also received treatment at the hospital and were in stable condition.
 
Phoenix police continue to investigate what caused the crash.
