Tu Thanh Thi Lam Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Snohomish
SNOHOMISH, WA (March 8, 2024) – The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office identified 55-year-old Tu Thanh Thi Lam of Monroe who died in a head-on crash on Highway 2 on February 21.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Three Lakes Road around 6:22 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a 2018 Toyota Sienna eastbound on the highway before the crash.
At the same time, 23-year-old David Cooley was driving a 2007 Toyota Highlander on the westbound lane of the same highway. Due to unknown reasons, the man crossed the center line and struck the victim’s vehicle.
As a result, Tu Thanh Thi Lam suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
Fire crews said Cooley sustained serious injuries in the incident.
The WSP believes drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
