Tiffany Mijares Critical, Louwanna Lunday Arrested for DUI in Jasper Car Crash

 
JASPER, TX (December 1, 2024) – Authorities identified Tiffany Mijares who suffered critical injuries in a crash on Highway 96 on November 10.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Hicks Street around 8:00 PM. Based on a report, Mijares was driving a 2020 Chevy Colorado southbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 2022 Ford Bronco pulled out from Hicks Street onto Highway 96 in front of her and caused a crash.
 
As a result, Mijares suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported her by ambulance to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital before sending her to another hospital for additional treatment.
 
Police determined Louwanna Lunday of Zavalla, the driver of the Ford, was intoxicated at the time of the crash. They arrested and transported him to the Jasper County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated.
