Wrong-Way Driver Involved in Crash on 10 Freeway at 91st Avenue in Tolleson
TOLLESON, AZ (October 22, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that three people suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on 10 Freeway on October 6.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 91st Avenue. Based on a report, a 21-year-old man was driving a maroon Chevrolet pickup truck on the wrong way of the freeway before the crash.
Subsequently, he crashed into a gray Dodge SUV head-on. A third vehicle was also involved in the incident.
As a result, three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews transported the victims to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities booked the suspect into the Maricopa County Jail for charges of aggravated assault and aggravated DUI.
