Three Hurt in Head-On Accident on OSR
NORMANGEE, TX (March 10, 2025) — Three people, including an 8-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries in a head-on accident on Monday, March 4.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. on OSR, approximately two miles from Normangee.
Authorities said the driver of a GMC Sierra pickup attempted to pass another vehicle while heading west. Then the pickup entered the eastbound lanes. After that, it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Traverse.
Both drivers suffered serious injuries. Paramedics arrived and then transported them both to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan.
Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted the 8-year-old boy, a passenger in the Traverse, with serious injuries to a hospital in The Woodlands for treatment.
Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.
Texas DPS continues to investigate the incident.
