Three Killed in Quartzsite Crash on 10 Freeway near Ramsey Mine Road

 
QUARTZSITE, AZ (July 29, 2024) — Three people suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle fiery accident on 10 Freeway on Friday, July 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway at milepost 33, near Ramsey Mine Road just before 3:30 p.m.
 
Arizona DPS said both vehicles caught fire after the collision. However, they have not released other details on how the accident occurred.
 
The identities of the deceased victims were not immediately available. There were also no reports of whether speed and/or impairment were factors in the crash.
 
Officers closed the westbound lanes of 10 Freeway at milepost 45. They reopened it shortly after 7:35 p.m.
 
The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
