Teen Dies in Car Crash on 136th Street Northeast on 47th Avenue
Marysville, WA (July 13, 2023) — A 16-year-old boy died after a car accident on 136th Street Northeast near 47th Avenue on Tuesday, July 4.
According to the Marysville Police Department, the initial investigation stated a car traveled eastbound on 136th Street Northeast just after midnight.
Then the driver lost control after going over the railroad tracks. After that, the car subsequently overturned in the 4700 block of 136th Street.
When officers and medics responded to the scene, they discovered three boys in a ditch beside the road. The impact ejected all three of them from the vehicle, including the teen who died.
Bystanders told the officers a fourth boy walked away from the area. They found him about a half-mile away, near his home.
Authorities said all four teens, two aged 15 and two aged 16, are Marysville residents.
Paramedics transported two of the teens to Providence Hospital. One of them was later transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the family of the driver transported him to a hospital.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office Information has not released the identity of the 16-year-old who died.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
