Bicyclist Steven Burse Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Borger
BORGER, TX (January 10, 2024) – The Borger Police Department identified 54-year-old Steven Burse who suffered injuries in a bicycle accident on East 9th Street on January 6.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at North Florida Street at approximately 7:15 AM. Based on a report, Burse was traveling near the intersection wearing a high-visibility vest.
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit him. The driver fled the scene afterwards.
As a result, the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews airlifted him to an area hospital for treatment.
