Silvestre Franco-Flores Arrested after Hit-and-Run on FM 812 at Highway 183 [Austin, TX]

Three Injured in Austin Hit-and-Run, Silvestre Franco-Flores Arrested

 
AUSTIN, TX (February 27, 2023) – Officers arrested 31-year-old Silvestre Franco-Flores following a hit-and-run on FM 812 on February 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Highway 183 shortly after 5:00 PM. Based on a report, Franco-Flores was driving a truck near the intersection prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he rear-ended a van and fled from the scene.
 
As a result, an adult in the van had a possible concussion while two children suffered possible broken legs. Emergency crews transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
The Travis County Sheriff’s Office responded and found Franco-Flores at a nearby gas station. Officers arrested and took booked him into the Travis County Jail.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation.
