Sasha Yeigh Struck and Killed by Suspected DUI Driver Juan Rabago in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 12, 2024) – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 40-year-old Sasha Marie Yeigh who died in a pedestrian accident on Southwest Loop 410 on September 6.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at New Valley Hi Drive around 6:45 PM. Based on a report, the victim’s vehicle ran out of gas before the incident.
She pulled over on the right shoulder and exited the driver’s side of her vehicle. Due to unknown reasons, a Toyota Tundra that crossed the solid white line on the interstate struck her.
As a result, Yeigh suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
The suspect, 37-year-old Juan Rabago, remained at the scene when first responders and police arrived. An intoxication assessment found Rabago to be intoxicated. Authorities arrested and booked him into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle charge and an unlawful carrying of a weapon charge.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
