Salvadore Aguirre Hit, Killed by Watsonville Bus on State Route 129
WATSONVILLE, CA (November 9, 2022) — Salvadore Aguirre was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in a pedestrian accident on State Route 129 on Friday night, October 28.
The collision occurred west of Harvest Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol which received an incident report at around 9:48 p.m.
Authorities said 43-year-old Aguirre of Watsonville was walking along the westbound traffic lanes of SR-129 when a bus, driven by Terry Johnson, hit him.
The force of impact inflicted major injuries to Aguirre, who received treatment at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, the 44-year-old Johnson stayed at the scene until emergency respondents arrived.
Investigators are still looking into the cause and the factors surrounding the incident. However, no other information is available at this time.
