Ronald Barnes Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Washington Street in Amarillo

 
AMARILLO, TX (November 1, 2022) – Police identified 42-year-old Ronald Walter Barnes as the victim who died in a motorcycle crash on Washington Street on October 30.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Canyon Drive around 4:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, Barnes was traveling south on his Harley Davidson near the intersection at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a Hyundai SUV traveling east on the 27 Freeway frontage road struck his motorcycle. Barnes was not wearing a helmet at that time.
 
As a result, the Amarillo Police Department said Barnes died at the hospital.
 
The driver of the SUV had minor injuries.
 
As of now, the fatal crash remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
