Lubbock Crash Killed Roma Haley and Jerry Lee Haley, Nine Others Hurt

 
LUBBOCK, TX (January 5, 2024) – Roma Haley and Jerry Lee Haley died while nine others suffered injuries following a crash on Highway 84 on Monday evening, December 25.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 6:24 p.m. It involved a 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by 87-year-old J. Haley, a Chrysler Pacifica, a Ford Edge, and a Dodge Caravan.

Initial investigation reported that while heading eastbound on the inside westbound lane of US Highway 84 on the Frankford Avenue overpass, the Nissan Rogue collided with three other vehicles.

85-year-old R. Haley, a passenger in the Nissan Rogue, died at the scene.

Medics took J. Haley to University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The drivers and passengers of the Chrysler Pacifica and Ford Edge, including children, sustained injuries and received transportation to University Medical Center.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan was not harmed. No other details are available.
