72-Year-Old Robert Lattin Dies in Kettle Falls Pedestrian Accident

 
KETTLE FALLS, WA (January 19, 2023) – Officers identified 72-year-old Robert Lattin as the victim who died in a crash on Highway 395 on January 11.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened three miles south of Orient around 6:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, Lattin parked his vehicle in a pullout on the northbound side of the highway prior to the crash. As he was walking, a 1997 Chevy GMT-400 heading north left the roadway and struck him before crashing into his car.
 
As a result, Lattin died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Chevy, 72-year-old Bruce Brauner, suffered injuries. Paramedics transported him to the hospital for treatment.
 
Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be involved. As of now, the incident remains under investigation.
