LAS VEGAS, NV (October 16, 2024) — A man sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on South Durango Drive on Thursday, September 26.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred at about 1:13 p.m. on South Durango Drive, south of West Warm Springs Road.
 
LVMPD said a green Kawasaki motorcycle traveled south on South Durango Drive at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2015 Infiniti QX70 moved northbound on South Durango from south of West Warm Springs Road.
 
Then the driver of the Infiniti tried to turn left into a private area. After that, the front of the motorcycle crashed with the right side of the Infiniti.
 
The impact of the collision caused the Infiniti to overturn. It also ejected the rider onto the roadway.
 
First responders transported the 19-year-old male rider to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Infiniti did not sustain any injuries. He stayed on the scene following the incident. Police said he was not under the influence.
