COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (November 19, 2024) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on South Monterey Road on Sunday, November 3.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the incident occurred in the 1900 block of South Monterey Road shortly before 5:00 p.m.
 
When police arrived, they found the rider of the motorcycle unconscious on the scene. Medical responders also arrived on the scene. However, the rider already succumbed to his injuries.
 
Officials will release the identity of the rider after they notify his next of kin.
 
CSPD’s Major Crash Team responded and then took over the investigation. According to the witness statements and initial information, CSPD believe speed may have been a factor in the incident.
