Ricky Johnson Killed in Tucson Car Accident on North Castro Avenue

 
TUCSON, AZ (October 17, 2024) — A 50-year-old man identified as Ricky Lamar Johnson died in a car accident on Thursday, October 3.
 
According to the Tucson Police, the crash occurred in the 2500 block of North Castro Avenue at about 4:30 p.m.
 
Investigators said Johnson was a front-seat passenger in a silver Kia. Then he jumped from the moving vehicle.
 
Officers responded to the scene and found Johnson with life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders then brought him to Banner University Medical Center where he died.
 
The jump caused him to suffer head trauma, reports said.
 
Authorities later found the vehicle in an abandoned parking lot. They also found and interviewed the adult female driver of the Kia.
 
The investigation of the fatal incident is still underway.
