Rick Ballard, Dalia Olivas Identified in Fatal El Paso Crash

 
EL PASO, TX (November 15, 2024) – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Department identified 29-year-old Rick Ballard and 28-year-old Dalia Olivas who died in a crash on Rojas Drive on November 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Eastlake Boulevard around 11:37 PM. Based on a report, two vehicles collided near the intersection.
 
The Sheriff’s Office found Ballard, Olivas, and another victim with serious injuries.
 
Ballard died at the scene. Emergency crews took Olivas to the hospital, where she later died.
 
Authorities did not release the condition of the third victim. They confirmed that alcohol was a factor, and an arrest warrant for two counts of intoxication and manslaughter was pending.
