Richard Dominey Dies in Sabine County Tree Crash

 
SABINE COUNTY, TX (January 4, 2024)Richard Dominey died while John Sullivan suffered injuries after a car crash into a tree on Highway 96 on Sunday, December 24.

According to the Sabine County Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 7:25 p.m. at the intersection of FM 201 and Highway 96. It involved a 2005 Chevy SUV driven by Sullivan, police said.

Initial investigation reported that while heading west on FM 201, Sullivan failed to stop at a red light and continued across Highway 96 into a wooden area before hitting a tree.

54-year-old Dominey – a passenger of the Chevy SUV – died at the scene.

Medics took 60-year-old Sullivan and two other passengers to a Sabine County hospital after sustaining injuries.
