Nancy Dominguez Identified in Fatal Off-Duty Accident in Lucas
LUCAS, TX (April 30, 2024) – The Princeton Police Department identified Officer Nancy Dominguez who died in an accident on East Lucas Road on April 20.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Lakeview Drive around 5:20 PM. Based on a report, Dominguez was off duty and driving a Honda Civic eastbound on East Lucas Drive before the crash.
At the same time, a Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on the same road. Due to unknown reasons, the truck lost traction due to wet roadway conditions. The driver reportedly tried to gain control but skidded into the eastbound lane. Dominguez struck the pickup’s passenger side, and both vehicles slid off the roadway.
As a result, Dominguez suffered grave injuries in the crash. Crews took her to Medical City McKinney, where she died.
Crews also took the driver and two other passengers of the pickup to the Medical City of McKinney with non-life-threatening injuries.
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
