SPANAWAY, WA (July 12, 2024) – Officials confirmed that a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on Highway 7 on June 19.
 
The Washington State Patrol said the collision happened at 204th Street East around 8:00 PM. Based on a report, the victim was walking north on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle headed in the same direction hit the victim. The driver fled the scene after the accident.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Officers identified the vehicle as a white 2009-2010 Toyota Corolla with possible damage to the front bumper and hood. They now ask anyone with information to call Detective Travis Calton at 360-918-4032.
