SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA (February 19, 2025) – A pedestrian died following a crash on Highway 1 early Thursday morning, February 13.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 4:22 a.m. at Dimeo Lane.
 
Reports indicated that a black 2005 Ford Ranger was heading northbound when it struck a pedestrian walking around the same area.
 
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s or 40s, died at the scene.
 
Investigation into the incident remains open and active.
