Man Hospitalized after Brighton Hit-and-Run on County Road 27 and County Road 2 1/2

 
BRIGHTON, CO (October 23, 2024) — A pedestrian sustained injuries after a hit-and-run on County Road 27 on Friday, October 4.
 
According to the Brighton Police Department, the accident happened at about 7:15 p.m. on County Road 27 and County Road 2 1/2.
 
Brighton Police said their initial investigation determined that a vehicle struck the man walking in the area. Then the driver left the scene. After that, a second driver who did not see the man on the road also struck him but remained at the scene.
 
When officers responded to the area, they found the 22-year-old man in the roadway with major injuries. Paramedics then transported him to a medical center.
 
Officers believe the driver who left the scene drove a black 2000 Honda Civic. In addition, they said it likely has damage to the front and the driver’s side mirror.
