Pedestrian Dead in Las Vegas Hit-and-Run Accident

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 5, 2023) — A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident after a two-car crash on East Sahara Avenue on Thursday, June 22.
 
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a man in his 20s drove a 2013 BMW 328i at a high rate of speed around 10:30 p.m. near East Sahara Avenue and State Street. Then he struck a silver 2011 Mercury Sable that’s turning left from westbound Sahara.
 
The impact of the collision sent the BMW spinning into a pedestrian standing in the bus lane. The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, died at the scene. The Clark County coroner’s office will release his identity after they notified his family.
 
The BMW came to rest in the middle of the three traffic lanes. Then the driver went out of the vehicle and ran. Authorities have not yet identified him as of Friday morning.
