Suspected DUI Driver Paula Carbajal Involved in Accident with Police Car on 73rd Avenue at Indian School Road in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (July 1, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department arrested 60-year-old Paula Carbajal following an accident involving a police car on 73rd Avenue on June 9.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road shortly before 2:30 AM. Based on a report, two Phoenix police officers were driving near 73rd Avenue when Carbajal turned in front of them and crashed into their patrol SUV.
 
As a result, both officers were hurt and sent to the hospital as a precaution.
 
Authorities arrested and processed Carbajal for DUI. They later issued a citation and released her.
